The $2 Million Longevity Diet.
Revolutionary or Overhyped?

The surprising end result.

Phot taken by me :)

Longevity is on everyone`s lips these days. I was curious to find out if the Longevity Diet by Brian Johnson who spends several Million Dollars per year to maximizing both, the length and quality of his life is only for the superrich.

The Goal:

The ultimate goal is to live a healthy, active and vibrant life while aging. Diet has a profound impact on our overall health and done “right” holds the key to unlocking our longevity potential.

So, what’s right?

Brian Johnson is a tech entrepreneur who leverages modern science and technology to achieve these goals. His protocol contains three specific meals (Super veggie, Nutty Pudding, third meal varies), olive oil and dark chocolate.

Recipes:

  • are nutritionally balanced and emphasize whole foods

  • avoid added sugar, salt and refined grains

  • are not about extreme calory restriction

  • get you into a routine that saves time

  • are free and posted on the Blueprint website

What to be mindful about:

The legumes and nuts have a lot of fiber. Too much of it can cause GI distress. You may need to work with a dietitian if you are not used to fiber or have pre-existing GI issues.

The Blueprint protocol is not a peer-reviewed study. As of now, there’s no firm evidence that it can actually reverse your age. Calories are calculated for Brian Johnson specifically.

What I learned:

  • lost few pounds

  • never felt hungry

  • felt more energetic

  • however, I felt a lack of variety in food

  • protocol is too strict for me; an occacional slice of (e.g. sour dough) pizza is totally fine with me. The Mediterranean diet or Blue Zone diet fit more my lifestyle.

My modifications to the diet:

I followed the diet only, did not take any supplements, did not do any workouts and haven`t done any blood work. Duration: 2 weeks. I ate the calories throughout the day and not in a specific time window (no fasting). I kept drinking my coffee.

Final thoughts

Will I do it again? Yes, definetly! I liked following the protocol for a short period of time. It is a perfect detox and body reset.

Diets that emphasize whole foods, healthy fats, and moderate protein, all shown to increase life expectancy. Food that supports cellular health, fights inflammation, reduces disease risk, and nourishes the body for long-term vitality is a key longevity tool.

Live better, longer.
